Greetings from Kori Gavana! Our team is celebrating International Women’s Day with the Assyrian Women Union! AWU was established 29 years ago and is managed by volunteers who serve women in their communities. We facilitated a fun trip for their volunteers today who traveled from Zakho, Duhok and other villages. In Kori Gavana, sociology professor Carmen Aqeel gave a lecture on domestic violence and female empowerment.
